I rolled
the dice
on him
and on
me
there wasn’t
an us
yet
we were
still
new then

I took
a chance
I took
a leap
and
a risk
I was
ready
to jump
he put
on the
brakes

I rolled
the die
it was
thrown
then
my silver
black heart
landed
on tilt
and we
celebrated

He took
no chance
he took
steps
didn’t jump
too risky
he said
not ready
for us
he pulled
the brake
between acts

I rolled
the die
with him
it was
cast then
my silver
black heart
became stone
the die
landed tilted
on number 3
he mold
injected me
die casting us
into your
memory

Now we
are in
print
we’re cast
burnt orange
white colour
on your screen
we’re out
in
the ether
floating around
