“Even if we didn’t

experience a

discernible event

or trauma

that forced us

to fight

to be loved or seen,

most of us

can remember times

we protected others

or performed

for them

in order

to secure

their approval.

We may have come

to believe that

we’re loved for

our achievements,

or for the role

we fill in the family,

or because

we take care of others.”

The world is full of opportunity.

What do yo want to do?

Who do you want to be?

What do you want to create?

What are you waiting for?

Give yourself permission.

The perfect time to start?

There is no perfect time to start.

Start now.

A more fully formed idea?

If you move forward with your half-baked idea you’ll figure out how to fully bake it.

Don’t expect to wave a magic wand and have a full- fledged, completed product, project or service magically appear.

Ain’t gonna happen.

Get moving on what you have.

Take baby steps.

Make little bets.

Figure it out as you go.

Nobody is ever going to give you permission to start on your idea.

Give yourself permission, and get going.🙂

“In childhood,

we receive all sorts

of messages -

spoken and unspoken -

that shape our beliefs

about how we matter

and what we’re worth.

And we can carry

these messages

into adulthood.”
