The Woah (shudder) People vs the Whoa People

Only one of these groups is right. Hint: it’s not the woah people.

Imagine for a moment that some of our greatest minds wrote out their greatest quotes as such:

Ask not what you’re country can do for you but…

Be the change that you wish too see in the world.

I cannot discover that anyone knows enough to say defiantly what is and what is not possible.

They’re is no place like home.

Its not weather you win or loose, its how you play the game.

Seriously, imagine if these intelligent people had written their quotes out like this. I’m going to be honest, we wouldn’t be quoting people, who didn’t know it’s YOUR country, 60 years later.

So, please, for the love of everything good in the world…apply decent grammar to everything, no excuses. To your articles, your posts, your texts. Your message gets lost when you look stupid. You don’t appear authoritative when you look stupid. This is a harsh message. But I tell it to you out of love. Because I have seen people who are making good points get pushed to the side because their grammar is awful.

It’s so easy to dismiss someone who can’t be bothered to use the proper your. It’s also ignorant to the people you’re interacting with. You’re telling them you don’t care enough to bother to use the correct word. I want to take you seriously, I want to hear your message, so please don’t ruin it by appearing stupid when you’re not.

Tell me how you’re getting after 2017 at or on Twitter, @caitmackcs. And please hit the like and share button. I’d do it for you :)
