Mid-February release

While not heavy with new front-end features, we've been hard at work optimising our backend, refactoring parts of the codebase and in parallel have built something really valuable — full version control!

1. Data Version Control

From now onwards any changes you make in CAKE HR will be logged and securely stored. This means you can now trace back anything that has been edited in your account. Let's say an employee changes his telephone number but you need to see the previous record — before you couldn't do it, there was no way to trace back what happened. Now all you have to do is just click on “version control” icon and a popup will open showing who has edited what:

2. “Employment status” filter in People page

This comes in handy if you have lot of employees and want to, for example, filter only part-time employees.

3. No “wood” background in Reports & Teams

This one is straightforward & another step in simplifying our UI.

4. Disabled email & password editing for terminated employees

Admin-level users can no longer edit email address & password for employees that are terminated. This is to ensure the past data is kept in “locked” state.
