Thyroid Cyst

A thyroid cyst is a fluid-filled sac that develops within the thyroid gland, a butterfly-shaped organ located in the neck. These cysts are generally benign and may vary in size. While the exact cause of thyroid cyst formation is often unclear, they can result from the accumulation of fluid within the thyroid tissue. Thyroid cysts are typically non-cancerous, but in some cases, they may cause symptoms such as neck discomfort, difficulty swallowing, or a visible lump.
