First Treatment

Dad went in for his first treatment yesterday, April 4. He received 3 different drugs over 4 hours. Before he left they attached a pump and its in a black bag that he carries with him. This pump will pump the fourth drug into him over 40 hours. We will go back in tomorrow and detach the pump. He has been doing fairly well. When asked how he feels its usually “ehh alright” or “not great not bad”. When I came home from work today he was grilling a whole chicken… this man doesn’t know how to chill! The only thing that’s causing an issue is that he cannot eat or drink anything cold. One of the drugs reacts with the cold in a way that it feels like electric shocks. They said it should go away around 5 days after the treatment but we have to ease back into it. He is himself at the moment and even hooked the computer up to the TV to watch Matts baseball game. Hoping for the best. Thanks for all the support!
