Grandstream Access Point

Grandstream Access Point is a type of wireless network device used to provide wireless connectivity to devices such as smartphones, laptops, and tablets. The AP serves as a bridge between wired Ethernet networks and wireless devices.

To configure a Grandstream Access Point (AP) for optimal network coverage, follow these steps:

1. Connect the Grandstream AP to your network using an Ethernet cable.

2. Access the Grandstream AP’s web-based configuration interface by entering the AP’s IP address in a web browser. 192.168.2.1. is the default IP address

3. Log in to the Grandstream AP using the default username and password. The default username and password are "admin."

4. Go to the “Wireless” section of the configuration interface and select “Basic Settings."

5. In the “Wireless Network Name” (SSID) field, enter a unique name for your wireless network.

6. In the “Wireless Security” section, select the security method you want to use for your wireless network (e.g., WPA2-PSK).

7. Enter a strong password in the “Pre-Shared Key” field.

8. Click “Save” to apply the changes.

9. Go to the “Advanced” section of the configuration interface and select “Wireless Advanced."

10. Under the “Transmit Power” section, adjust the transmit power of the Grandstream AP to a level that provides optimal network coverage for your environment. A higher transmit power will provide better coverage but may also increase the risk of interference with other wireless networks.

11. Under the “Channel Width” section, select the appropriate channel width for your environment. A wider channel width will provide better performance but may also increase the risk of interference with other wireless networks.

12. Under the “Wireless Mode” section, select the appropriate wireless mode for your environment. The Grandstream AP supports multiple wireless modes, including 802.11b, 802.11g, 802.11n, and 802.11ac.

13. Click “Save” to apply the changes.

14. Go to the “Status” section of the configuration interface to monitor the status of the Grandstream AP and make sure it is functioning correctly.

By following these steps, you should be able to configure your Grandstream AP for optimal network coverage, or you can also contact us as we provide Grandstream Wi-Fi Access services all over India.
