I know that I will get no more than 3 months of relief from my back shot. Unfortunately, I can only get them every six months. Such is life with chronic pain.

My back problems are at the base of my spine. They were caused (and are aggravated) by the knee issues. (More on that in a moment.) In January, they discovered that I have a back to front to back curve in my spine. That makes it worse too.

Knees are a whole separate issue. 8 surgeries between the two of them; no replacements yet. When the ortho tried a shot in it earlier this summer, he hit the scar tissue from those surgeries. If he can’t find a better place for the needle in Sept., we talk replacements.

This is kind of the long way around to saying: Yes — the weather hurts. Yes — I am off to bookmark and read Pain Talks. :)
