The Brain Emoji is Coming! 😍😍😍

One day, I woke up in a cold sweat and realized that there is no emoji for the brain. I thought surely this must be a mistake, since, when you think about it, emojis could not exist without brains.

Luckily, it’s coming. In the 2017 Unicode 10.0 Standard, which dictates what emojis are available, and is scheduled for full support by the end of the year, a brain emoji has finally been included. That means all your devices’ keyboards should start including a brain within a few months, and it’ll look something like this:

Yes, the brain is facing its right in most interpretations of the emoji — as we’ve discussed before, almost all brain illustrations face right.

Of course, they couldn’t include brains without also correcting another grievous omission in our current emoji options: the prime consumer of braaains:
