Relentless linear energy=populist drivel.

That it’s what impels our system of government itself adds ample stock of validity to claims of all manner of anti-democratic thinkers over the centuries.

Populism is a double-edged sword. Democracy (and republicanism) facilitates amateurish brandishing of that sword. Consequently, the democratic wielder tends to lop off his own limbs with the Sword of Populism. Eventually, he’ll claim his own head.

In the populist democrat/republican’s head, he imagines himself as a brave and heroic knight, vanquishing injustice and inequities. In reality, he’s not even a squire. He’s the untrained bumblefuck farmer, and he’s already down at least a few limbs and bleeding out. Inevitably, he’ll trip and impale himself.
