Terrific article, Scott. Brings to light some of the issues I’ve personally encountered in the past year or so. My digital highlighter ran out of ink while reading.

FWIW I’d argue Snapchat is probably an anomaly when it comes to the first mile. The new user experience is awkward and unconventional. But the fact that so many of your friends are hopping on board right now probably gives most users enough motivation to slog through it.
