Adoption by users (because cheap) is only half of Uber’s business model. I am not sure how sustainable their ‘adoption by drivers’ is, given that it is the drivers who bear the externalized cost of that cheapness. There appear to be limits to Uber’s ability to UX non-employee drivers into lower rates.
