I’m late to the game in reading this but I am glad I did as I find the whole topic quite interesting. I run a 130 person consulting firm that I consider to be quite values-driven. I believe the problem of losing sight of corporate values is a result of not moving them from the conference room wall into process and procedure. I call this “operationalizing” values. We look to embed our values into the day to day activities of our business. As such, you can’t stray from them. If someone does it creates a obvious “pain point”.
