2016 Here We Go Again

I began the year in 2014 with the following post listed below. Reviewing my results of 2014 and 2015 demonstrates that I am no further ahead on my writing skills. This two year hiatus is costly, as I now find myself needing write more than ever. Let’s recap what we thought would happen in 2014 and see how 2016 will be different:

2014 we wrote “Blogger, Tubmlr, Twitter are at least 3 of the methods I have used over the years in an attempt to write more. I have failed on all 3 platforms. I am not sure why Medium will be different, but at the onset, at least it is different.

Here in 2016, I can say that I made no further progress, but let’s not dwell on the past anymore. In 2014, the goals for writing more included:
“I enter the blogging phase with the same goals that I had on the other platforms. That includes improving my writing skills, (if that is even possible at this age), bringing organization and prioritization to the activities that will have the best “bang for the buck” and meeting new people that may have the similar interests that we can combine our energy and create something from it.”

Ok, 2016 goals are still in line with 2014. Check. Hmm, so what is going to be different? How are we going to do this daily? Especially when I can’t use my work computer to write any posts. Now I am constrained to do it at home on a nightly basis. At least in 2014 I could have used my work computer, but no more since I am in a new organization.

Another challenge is the fact that I find I don’t have a lot to say. I don’t have the fascinating industry like a Fred Wilson to comment on. Writing this tonight, the only thing I can think about is how I will write about my foray into total immersion in JavaScript learning.

For the last 3 days, I have been fortunate enough to have the time to work through the Udemy class titled: “https://www.udemy.com/complete-web-developer-course/learn/#/” I believe JavaScript can help me automate my current job in order for me to grow into another job which would be starting my own company, but that’s a Medium post for another day.

They say it takes 21 days to develop a habit, I only have 20 more to go.
