We’d like to think that you are already well versed in the knowledge of what Campus North offers! In short, we’re a home for tech meetups, startups, freelancers, established businesses and many more. We do this by offering hot-desking, co-working, meeting and teaching spaces along with our own events, such as Tech Breakfast and Digital Drinks.

BUT…

Did you know that Campus North receives no public funding or grants, and all of what we do is possible due to our commercial sponsors? We’re proud to have the support of some the the North East’s most influential businesses. Not to mention those business who don’t necessarily reside in the North of England, but understand how important the North East’s tech scene really is. They want to be part of it.

Sage, Virgin Money, Particular Legal, Performance Horizon Group, SendGrid, Twilio, Softlayer, Blu Sky, Tech North

Due to their continuous support, we were able to achieve a hell of lot last year alone! Here’s just a taster….

  • Campus North partnered with the NSPCC and our sponsors Virgin Money to host a Tech For Good Weekend. The weekend was a complete a success, full of innovative teams experimenting and hacking on new ways to encourage charitable giving online!
  • As part of our Evolution of Technology season in partnership with our lovely sponsors, Tech North, the Campus team organised two “Leading Ladies in STEM” events to coincide with Ada Lovelace Day. We were chuffed when we discovered that the Stemettes and Fabiola Stein, Global Head of Marketing at Sage, wanted to help us out!
  • In 2015 alone we were able to host over 200 community meetups, completely free of charge, with an average of 50 people attending each one.
  • We hosted high profile tech industry events for Sage, Thinking Digital, Virigin Money, Tech North and Creative North.
  • 25 adult coding classes were completed, along with an additional 12 for kids and 3 maker parties.
  • Did we mention the 10 student career events or panel discussions? The Raspberry Pi workshop aimed at employees? What about over 10,000 people crossing our threshold including 500 school, college and university students?

I think you've got the picture…

We owe our sponsors a MASSIVE thank you. They helped us achieve so much for the North East tech community in 2015.

Due to the feedback we get, we’re determined to do a hell of a lot more in 2016!

Here’s a brief preview of what we have done already and what’s in store!

  • We hosted the Hewlett Packard Enterprise Graduation event
  • We will be part of the Late Shows for the first time
  • We’ve been chosen to host the first MeasureCamp in the UK that hasn’t been in London
  • Part of Thinking Digital & Industry Conf once again

Do you want to be a part of it?

Along with our sponsors we are passionate about supporting the North East. There are lots of ways to get involved with we’re doing at Campus North. If you want to know more info, just drop us an email.

Even better, why not pop in, have a look around and see for yourself.
(If you’re lucky, we might even make you a brew!)
