The North East Digital Showcase: what’s your perception?

At the beginning of this year we decided to revamp our Digital Drinks event. Rather than just coming along for a few beers and a pulled pork bap, we thought we’d add more value by bringing in a range of speakers from across the whole of the North East. (Don’t get me wrong, the beer and pulled pork baps still play a vital role!)

Our aim was to showcase the talent of companies from across the whole of the North East and not just Newcastle. Over the course of only four events, we’ve had companies represent Middlesborough, Sunderland, Gateshead and Newcastle. Not bad. (We’d welcome a few more from Durham direction and Northumberland — get in touch with us!)

Labelling these individuals as ‘speakers’ doesn’t do them justice. It’s not about sales pitches. It’s a unique opportunity to find out about how they got to where they are today. They share the best advice they’ve had from advisors and mentors, the biggest mistakes they’ve made in business, their pearls of wisdom, how they raised investment and everything in between. Regardless of what stage your business is at, whether you’re a one man band or a larger organisation, you’ll walk away with something that will resonate.

Our Digital Showcase isn’t just about learning from others, it’s the perfect place to bump into people that will prove valuable contacts. Have you been trying everything in the sales book to get through to that ‘Decision Maker’? Guess what, she might very well be sat across the room with a drink in her hand.

We try to make sure it’s not a stuffy networking event. It’s a relaxed place to learn something new, over a beer. Most importantly, it’s provides the North East with a platform to showcase the true talent we have here in the region. We promise you’ll walk away impressed.
