As a frustrated liberal stuck in the deep-red hell of Utah, I’m holding onto the fever dream that Hillary may take the state. Between distaste for Trump, support for Johnson, and that Mormon guy (Evan McSomething?) who is running, the conservative majority will be all over the place. Meanwhile, more liberal-leaning minority is used to voting for candidates who may not be ideal but at least they are not crazy right-wing nuts — which makes them more likely to stick with Hillary.

I know it’s a long shot, and I’m setting myself up for disappointment, but in this election year, I’m going for any silver lining I can find.
