The “narrative” of media bias isn’t his narrative.

Maybe the media is biased toward facts (reality) rather than a political slant. Arguing that you’re a lifelong conservative as evidence of media bias is itself bias.

I mean Bush couldn’t go to Iraq because the media lied and said there were no weapons of mass destruction… oh wait that’s right the media went along with it.

How about climate change? The science behind it is sound, but certain media outlets cover it as if it is some vast conspiracy to expand government control… or something.

I could keep going, Obama’s birthplace, “unskewing” of polls, Benghazi, etc. are all to varying degrees examples of conservative media, for lack of a more incisive term, making shit up.

So let’s just look at this general election, particularly one of the narratives before the first debate: the role of the moderator. Conservative media argues vociferously that a moderator ought not fact check. Yeah, sure you could argue a fear of bias, but the simpler explanation is that they know their candidate has minimal grasp or interest in facts.

I should add here that the icon for modern conservatives Ronald Reagan, like Trump, was an intellectual lightweight. The other widely cited inspiration for many conservatives, Barry Goldwater, was and still is considered a fucking lunatic by non conservatives. And don’t get me started on pseudo-philosophising-ass Ayn Rand. Even more Right leaning philosophers wouldn’t call her drivel the product of a clear thinker.

Notice a pattern here?
