Hi Kitty. The low-level version of the map enables a wheelchair user to look at all parts of the map close up, whilst also being able to look at the big picture by looking at the large map on the wall. There is a lot of detail in the map and a wheelchair user would not be able to read it otherwise. The poster frames were specially imported from the USA to create this accessible feature. We think it works. The aim is to make the map accessible to wheelchair users without presenting it to other people at an uncomfortably low level. What could be wrong with that? Glad you liked the rest of the museum!
