Thank you, Allan, for all that your writing gives to us — your humour and satire (always spot on), and today your honest and heart-felt thoughts. I think John McCain is perhaps our best example of how we should all be engaging with each other, even though I would likely not vote for him either — but only because I disagree with some of his politics (like having Sarah Palen as his running mate, whaaat??), not because of who he is as a person. He has learned how to not be a victim, even though he’s been so traumatized in his life. If only the Orange Accident would choose to stop playing victim, things could be very different in our world today. I too hope that Senator McCain gets well, and I hope that’s more of a possibility than 45 ever getting well.
