Hawai’i

We finally managed to visit the island of Kaua’i for about a week back in October. It’s one of the most magical places I’ve ever been to.

The northwest coast of the island is called Nā Pali, which aptly means “high cliffs”.
It turns out that many parts of the Jurassic Park movies were filmed on-location here. We even had a dinosaur sighting at the Waimea Canyon!

It was striking to see how wild and undisturbed most of our surroundings were. It’s an amazing display of the creative forces of nature.

After a few days, we settled into the rhythm of the island life, waking up with the sun and the sound of the waves, exercising, exploring, eating well, relaxing, and completely losing track of time…

I think we’ll be coming back.
