Tom Wilder At the time, working was a coping mechanism for me. I was struggling with growing up and learning how to be an adult, and slowing down = too many scary ideas to process at once. (So basically, burnout seemed like the lesser of two evils). I shake my head thinking about it now, but back then burnout felt like 1. something I could handle and 2. better than being honest with myself!
