Chapter One of Summer Dreams

As we stepped into Florida, the heat hit us like a wall, but we were stoked! Maggie, Emily, Isabella — my ride-or-die crew — were pumped for our summer vacay.

Jamming in the car, we belted out tunes and giggled like crazy. The excitement was real as we finally pulled up to our beach house. Palm trees, waves crashing — total vacation vibes!

Dumping our stuff, we bolted straight to the beach. Sand between our toes, we felt alive! We were walking on the board walk when We saw this flyer for a poetry contest. We decided that we were going to give it a try

Sitting in a circle on our beach towels, we brainstormed ideas. As the sun set, we still didn’t figure out what we could write. Maggie and Emily both thought of good ideas but we didn’t know which one to use. We decided we can decide on this tomorrow and catch a good night sleep.

Catching z’s that night, the sound of waves lulled us to sleep. We were grateful for the adventures ahead and the bond we shared.
