Showcasing the county map

At 18 I printed a map of the U.S. that depicted every single one of its 3,142 counties (and county-equivalents), a bare-looking skeleton I’d found online that was, for all its ugliness, at least not a Mercator projection. It took me about thirty minutes, sitting in front of Google Maps, to determine which counties (and county-equivalents) I’d visited and color them in.
