3 Ways to Stake CDS & CDS/ETH LP

Dear Capital DAO Protocol Community,

There are multiple staking options for the Capital DAO Protocol. In this article, we would like to explain three ways to stake CDS. Here is the chart of all the ways to stake CDS.

Each version of staking has a different pool. For example, if you would like to stake 10 CDS on V1 and 10 CDS on V2, you would need to have 20 CDS and stake it separately.

1. V1 Staking

At the initial stage of Capital DAO Protocol, and as soon as we launched the CDS listing, we began the V1 staking system which is also shown below.

By Single Staking CDS or CDS/ETH LP Staking, $CPDT will be earned as a reward. We tentatively calculate $CPDT price as an estimated price of $0.02, this is because the $CPDT token has not been listed on the market yet. The APY(Annual Percentage Yield) for $CPDT is around 25.63%. The only difference between CDS staking and CDS/ETH LP staking is the APY and the APY for CDS/ETH LP staking is as much higher than the APY for CDS Single Staking.

For example, as you can see the table above, at this moment, APY for CDS/ETH LP is around 94.28% which is about four times as much as APY for CDS Single staking now.

This V1 staking system will remain for 2 years. After 2 years, CPDT will not be distributed as a reward. Though we would explain how to get $CPDP in the next article, staking $CPDT is the only way to get $CPDP(V4 staking) which is not available on the market until $CPDT token will be listed. During V4 staking, if you stake $CPDT, you would earn $CPDP. And only by selling $CPDP you would be able to get benefits from projects.

2. V2 Staking

V2 staking will launch during the 1st quarter of 2022. There are 2 options for staking. One option is to stake CDS and to earn CDS & to get IDO(Initial DEX Offering) participation allocation, while the other option is to stake CDS/ETH LP and to earn CDS(3 times as much as CDS single staking) and get IDO participation allocation(3 times as much as CDS single staking). Please pay attention to the next part. The reward we will receive is not $CPDT, but $CDS on V2 staking. If you receive IDO participation allocation, you will be able to join IDO however, it doesn’t mean you will be able to receive the IDO token itself. We would like to emphasize that you will also need to have enough $USDC if you would like to purchase the IDO token.

3. V3 Staking

V3 staking will launch at various timings, depending on when each new IDO launches.

By staking CDS, you will receive the IDO tokens itself as a reward, while on the other hand, if you stake the CDS/ETH LP, you will receive the IDO tokens four times the amount of single staking CDS itself. On top of that if you stake the CDS/ETH LP you will also receive CDS tokens as a reward. If you would like to receive IDO token itself instead of an IDO participation allocation, you will need to use the V3 Staking method.
