While I totally agree that the social contracts are NOT working, your “solutions” are from the Che, Mao, etc… playbook. See: current day Venezuela! That does not work! Real universal healthcare? Like the system failing Charlie Gard and his family? Public Media? Who got Obama elected twice? Public higher education? Since the government got involved with higher ed in the form of guaranteed student loans, the price of education has skyrocketed. Google “education bubble” , lots of good research to back this info up! Debt relief? Bankers know they have supporters on BOTH sides of the aisle — look at the scandals of the last 16 years: if anyone goes to jail it’s a low level scapegoat! Real safety nets: are you advocating for a universal basic income (UBI)? Ask any behavioral scientist how THAT will work out! The cost/benefit analysis we ALL do will lead to so much inaction…. Sooo, until both sides start talking and come up with solutions based upon history, common goals and respect you are correct in thinking that resistance by either side is the wrong path!
