I disagree. The 60 year old who sits on the couch still has 45 years more time on this earth. The 60 year old remembers Sputnik, know where they were when JFK was assassinated, watched the entire civil rights movement unfold before their eyes, protested Vietnam (or protested the protesters), watched man set foot on the moon, watched Nixon resign, I can go on and on. Maybe they only saw it on TV, but there’s still a lot of wisdom to pick up along the way. I’ve never met a 15 year old who was even half as wise as they thought they were. Sometimes there’s just no substitute for time.
