American apparel VS Nike

We all know sportswear brand Nike, because it is very comfortable, fashionable and innovative. Nike has excellent designers, the latest technology and advanced equipment. Undoubtedly, Nike is great. However, before I talk more about Nike, I want to say something about American Apparel.

American Apparel is the USA brand. I am very interesting in this brand, and I have so many AA garments. AA’s garments are designed, cut and sewn in Los Angeles, and all are American-made. Their factory is the largest sewing facility in North America. [1] I heard a radio story about this brand, AA’s factory is very ancient and traditional. AA’s equipment is simple, and workers insist handmade. No new fabrics, no new technology and no innovative textiles. Because of AA’s proximity simplifies, this brand has a lot of loyal and crazy fans just like me. However, American Apparel announced bankrupcy. The reason is AA always be old-fashion and never innovative, but maybe never innovate is another innovation. American Apparel is the eternal brand.

We need new, so Nike is always new. Nike has opened a textile design studio in east London to develop new fabrics for its shoes and apparel. Nike’s AntiClog football boots have mud-proof soles made from a material the brand described as an “adaptive polymer that becomes compliant when exposed to water.” [2] Nike has new fabrics, new fiber and new textile technology. Nike likes creating a new, stronger and comfortable product. Nike also designs products for Olympic athletes, and those products are tough, light and easy to carry. Conforming to times, Nike stands to win.

All in all, innovation and development that is forever theme. Nike designs the new technology is so good for our lives.
