A Better Bolt: We’re Making the Most Simple Integration Even Simpler

by Taylor Havlisch

Earlier this year, we made a big splash with the release of our cloud-based API terminal solution, Bolt P2PE. It allows software companies to easily integrate their own applications with our growing line of Bolt-compatible payment devices. These devices come with our PCI-validated Point-to-point Encryption (P2PE) and are EMV pre-certified, so you can quickly achieve EMV acceptance and PCI audit scope reduction within any software application.

Since its launch, Bolt P2PE can be used to integrate the following devices:

This week we’re particularly excited because we’re announcing our latest release of Bolt that allows our partners more direct control of the terminal and interaction with the user. This time around, the integration comes with additional functionality and flow options for your solution:

  • The added ability for our partners to prompt and get a signature whenever they want to during their workflow by calling getSignature directly
  • Functions that return tokenized card data which now provide more information such as the expiration date, name on card, and signature data
  • Ability to leverage one device across multiple point of sale workstations, if desired
  • Option to display a prompt on the device that asks the user to confirm the transaction at the point of sale

If you’re already integrated with Bolt, and you’re ready for the latest version, contact your dedicated integration support team and they’ll be able to get you set up.
