How to use the cards in your hand to win
What types of cards are there? What are their functions?
The cards in CA are classified in two types:
Type 1. Based on purpose: Cards with a “T” label — Trial cards, Cards without a “T” label — NFT cards.
Type 2. Based on Faction: Neutral Faction and characteristic combination Faction
Tip: All cards of different rarities have Golden Card.
What is the difference between Golden Cards and other cards?
Golden cards have higher Glory Points, which can help players accelerate the acquisition of Ranked Points to obtain Season Chests and unlock season-exclusive cards. They can also help meet the cumulative honor value requirements for Ahoy Rank upgrades.
How to form a team for battle?
The team for battle consists of two types of card : member and leader. Each time, one leader leads 1–9 members.
The faction of the leader determines the available members for you to choose. When forming a team for battle, you can only select members from the same faction or the neutral faction.
Instead of placing cards based on rarity, players should choose a leader who can maximize the effectiveness of core skill cards.
How to make good use of daily card fees, boosters and position substitutions before the start to help the team win?
- Daily card fees: When starting a battle, besides configuring the team, you also need to pay attention to the daily changes in card fees. If the total card fee of the team exceeds the requirements for the day’s battles, you won’t be able to participate in the battle. Therefore, it’s important to maximize the number of members in your team.
- Boosters: Boosters are food items that provide bonus during battles. Players can select boosters that match their rank and team composition before the battle.
- Swapping positions at the start: After matching with an opponent, players can view their team configuration and member skills before the countdown ends. There is an opportunity to swap the positions of your own team members once to protect your core cards or counter the opponent’s strategy. The adjustments made by both sides will be revealed after the countdown ends, so it adds to the fun of the game to speculate each other’s predictions.
Similar lineup, but I keep losing and can’t rank up, what should I do?
1. Strengthening and developing cards
In Cards Ahoy!, cards can be upgraded outside of battles. As the player’s Ahoy Rank increases, the level threshold for cards will also unlock. Higher Ahoy Ranks allow for higher-level leaders, and higher-level leaders can be paired with higher-level members.
To upgrade cards, players need to consume the same cards. Different cards cannot be used interchangeably.
If you have many duplicate cards that are not needed for upgrading, you can consider to Burn or do Alchemy.
- Burn: Burning permanently destroys these cards and converts them into CAC, whose value equals the card’s Glory Points. The rarer the card, the higher its value holds.
- Alchemy: Combine same-name cards with CAC to create new cards.
2. The correlation between some card skills
When evaluating the strength of each card, it’s important to not only focus on their attack power. You also need to consider the skills carried by the card. In Cards Ahoy!, many cards have their own unique skills, and they are not meant to fight alone.
For example, the linkage between the skill triggered by the character behind the damage and the skill triggered by the card immediately following the damage.
3. Obtain other cards in the lineup that are not obtained from Ahoy Box draws to enrich your team composition
You don’t just have to rely on Ahoy Box draws or using Battle Shell to obtain cards in Cards Ahoy!. Card acquisition mainly consists of three methods:
A. Ahoy Box purchase: Consume CAB / CAC and draw 5 cards each time
B. Ahoy Ladder seasons Chests: one card at a time, small chance to get a Ahoy Box
Among them, seasonal chests are divided into daily chests and chests that are given at the end of a complete season. Both chests accumulate ladder points, but they are not issued in real-time. Daily chests are given on the next day, and the complete season chest is given at the end of the season.
C. Alchemy: Combine same-name cards with CAC to create new cards.
In these three methods of obtaining cards, common and rare cards are interchangeable, but legendary and epic cards are separate. So if you want to obtain cards with special or powerful skills in your lineup, you must actively participate in battles!
I find PK battles very interesting. Why should I upgrade my rank?
1.Rewards and changes in rewards that can be obtained from ladder rankings:
Upgrading Ahoy Ladder not only allows you to earn more CAC and Season Rank rewards, but also increases the probability of obtaining high-value cards from Season Chests.
2. Thresholds and requirements for advancing in rankings:
Each time you advance in Rank, you need to accumulate enough Ranked Points to qualify for the next Rank and meet the minimum Glory Points requirement.
Ladder points can be obtained by winning battles, and losing battles does not deduct points.
Glory Points can be obtained by accumulating non-trial card.
3. How can you maximize the acquisition of Season Chests?
When the Ladder points are settled after each battle, winning streaks and Glory Points will provide a percentage-based bonus to the points. In addition to consecutive victories (or using CAC to purchase Winstreak Clover to maintain the winning streak), the more Glory Points you accumulate, the more Ladder points you will earn from each victory. This allows you to obtain more Season Chests!
