Xindus is a tech-enabled cross-border trade enablement platform focused on the SME sector. They make it easier for SMEs and traders to manage their exports and imports.

Xindus simplifies exports operations for traders and reduce costs & complexities by providing them a single platform to manage their entire trade including order management, shipping, customer support, invoicing and payments. Of course, bring an online platform, it offers visibility and analytics.

The platform provides SMEs with the same level of resources and market access as larger corporations, including trade compliance, supply chain finance, risk management, demand generation, and trade assurance.

Why we invested in Xindus

Cross-border trade is a large opportunity area. It is fragmented and participants have to deal with multiple service providers to either import or export goods. Increasingly, cross border B2C trade is also becoming popular among domestic sellers on e-commerce platforms. The founder comes with deep experience in the sector and has been in leadership positions and scaled operations in the exact same area that Xindus operates in.

As companies across the world look at de-risking their positions in China and Taiwan, India becomes a very important sourcing destination. For the next two decades, we will continue see tailwinds for the manufacturing sector, which in turn naturally creates strong demand for imports (of raw materials, components, etc.) and exports of finished goods.

Also, India is a market that companies across the world cannot ignore. With EODB (Ease of Doing Business), tech infra, better shipping & air logistics connectivity, India will continue to see greater focus from large global brands. Thus creating a large market opportunity for Xindus.

At Caret Capital, we back category builders. Entrepreneurs who have an innovative approach to addressing an opportunity, which expands the existing market significantly. By making it easier for SMEs to do exports and imports, Xindus is increasing India’s capacity and capability in global trade.

The team’s aspiration is to be the world’s leading cross-border trade fulfilment platform, and we believe they are well on their way to that.
