“It might take you 30 days to create a habit, but that habit could change your life for the next 30 years.” -Richard Yuzee

Over the years, I’ve done several varieties of what I call a “30 in 30” challenge. Typically using the months of April, June, September, and November — because the quirky perfectionist in me with a side of OCD likes for such things to match up — for these months are a perfect segue into the changing seasons. Tiny steps or daily tasks or calls to action for thirty days. To build momentum. To build habits. To build change.

“Little things make big things happen.”

Some of my past 30 in 30 challenges have been:

  • 30 minutes of exercise for 30 days
  • 30 minutes of journaling for 30 days
  • 30 minutes of sketching for 30 days
  • 30 items purged during 30 days
  • 30 Instagram posts in 30 days
  • 30 days of juicing
  • 30 days of plant-based eating
  • 30 days of Morning Pages
  • 30 days of showing up to online writing sessions
  • 30 days of writing prompts completed
