A Sunday resting spot captured by the author

“Sometimes I have loved the peacefulness of an ordinary Sunday. It is like standing in a newly planted garden after a warm rain. You can feel the silent and invisible life. All it needs from you is that you take care not to trample on it.” — Marilynne Robinson, Gilead

An ordinary Sunday.

A day well spent.

A day with rest — for the brain and the body and the mind and the soul.

A rest with intention for:

Resetting,

Refilling,

Restoring,

Renewing.

A moment to pause.

A moment to breathe.

A moment to be.

Can you feel it?

The peacefulness the day brings, the respite so craved.

Take care not to trample,

Take care to embrace.

The week ahead contently, with gratitude and grace.

Wrangling words as I chase the ordinary in the simple beauty of life. Forever writing a novel, or several at once. Chronic non-finisher. Here to change that.
