FilmFunds Acquires Duran Duboi U.S. to Create a Greater Impact on the Industry

FilmFunds, a Los Angeles based market research and production service company focused on the movie industry has acquired Duran Duboi U.S., the California based Visual Effects and Conversion Company.

The representatives at FilmFunds has stated that the deal would help them become a one-stop shop for filmmakers.

A formal bid for Duran Duboi France has been placed by FilmFunds. Duran Duboi France is currently in Chapter 11.

Carl Freer, the chairman and co-founder of FilmFunds has said “While popular films like Star Wars and Titanic will soon be coming out in 3D, there are many others that have a built-in audience, if only studios and filmmakers had an easy-to-use, crowd sourcing social marketing tool to prove it”.

He has stated that FilmFunds would be working with content owners and help them identify and then convert the most beloved 2D films for 3D-hungry audiences everywhere
