The death of “front-end developers”

You’ve hit the nail on it head for me. I’ve been looking for a front-end position for the past 3 months, only to keep being rejected because I’m not a JS ninja — and no one has cared about my HTML or CSS skills. I have been developing websites for 20+ years using HTML/CSS/JS/Jquery which used to be enough until the JS frameworks came out. Now every time I see a job description and it asks for strong JS and Bootstrap skills I run away.
