Anello Solitario: Italian Tradition to engagement

Today I would like to tell you my story of engagement by Italian traditions.

The story took place in Lago Maggiore in Lombardy region, I went with my girlfriend to the lake beach in order to give her the engagement ring — anello solitario (a ring with a single diamond). In Italy the is not a ceremony but all the engagement must be done as a surprise to the other part. In particular only after the ring was gifted the man may ask a nullaosta by their parents.

In case the girl will not marry she must give back the ring “anello solitario”.

When we were on the lake, I made it — and she was wandered and crying.

After all I have used a web sources to know the right steps which were spontaneously generated by my imagination.

The result, my sweet told me YES, and we will marry in May 2019.
