As an artist when I sell a painting it’s always bitter sweet. On the one hand you’re happy because someone believes in your work and loves a piece so much that they’re willing to pay with their hard earned cash to have that piece in their possession.
On the other hand it stings (just a little bit) that you won’t be seeing that particular painting in person for a while.
But then the collector who bought Turn sent me this picture and I realized that the painting was in great hands! The photo looks like it was taken for some sort of luxurious interior design magazine!
Knowing that the piece is being taken care of better than I would be makes letting go of this piece easier. I love my collectors!
