Hi David, yes the images will run on any version, no need to upgrade the daemon on your machines.
The build process uses the manifest list from the multiarch images to build so no need to specify the full base image name.
Hi David, thanks for the compliment!
I run multiple workloads on it like a full media server (Plex, Sickrage, Couchpotato, Transmission), some Sonos controller, a full monitoring stack with Grafana, Prometheus, multiple collectors. I’ve ran ElasticSearch aggregation on it too but disabled for a while.
Thought about doing something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/DataHoarder/comments/7w68tx/100_diy_8_bay_uaspusb3_gbe_nas/
But it doesn’t seem very resilient with all USB-SATA boxes + USB hub and etc…. maybe getting a real NAS box is the best way but also way more expensive… more than the entire cluster.
Awesome, I have two drives, one for all data in the cluster and another only for media. I thought about getting another Rock64 and build a NAS with it… using a USB3 hub sharing it all with NFS.
Another option would be running Rook and CEPH on all nodes with drives connected to them but I’ve read that Ceph could be pretty memory hungry.
