What is Airtm

Airtm is a globally connected digital dollar account that accepts users from 190 countries and offers more than 400 payment methods.

There are many websites and apps to make money online that pay through Airtm, and therefore, creating an Airtm account can be useful for those who use this type of websites and apps and also for freelancers — because you can receive payments in dollars in your Airtm account, and then convert them to local currency, if you wish.

Furthermore, it may also be useful to create an Airtm account to simply place part of your money in dollars to protect yourself from inflation or the possible devaluation of your country’s currency, especially if you live in a country that has a weak and very volatile currency.

How to create Airtm account

To create your Airtm account CLICK HERE and at the destination page you must select the country you´re living in and also select the type of account you want: personal account or business account and click “Continue”.

You will see that it´s possible to register using your Google, Facebook or Apple account or register using your email.

Normally I choose the option to sign up with my E-mail, and if you choose that option, you will have to insert your Email, choose a password, confirm password and also insert your First name and Last name — Second Last Name (is Optional). Then you must click to verify that you´re human and not a robot, and click “Create account”.

You will immediatly receive an email from Airtm and you must confirm your email and complete your profile.

After you do that, your Airtm account will be active and you can login to your member dashboard.

How to add / withdraw money from Airtm

To add money into your Airtm account you click ADD and then select a payment method, as it´s demonstrated in the video below (Minute — 02:24):

You can choose Bank Transfer, Cash, Cryptocurrency, Debit or Credit Card, E-wallet (where you have some of the most used e-wallets such as Alipay, Neteller, Payeer, Payoneer, Paypal, Revolut, Skrill, etc.). There is also Gift Card option from brands such as Airbnb, Amazon, eBay, Netflix, Playstation, Starbucks, etc. And the last option to add money is Mobile.

So to add money, simply select a payment method, enter the amount you want to add, submit request and confirm transfer.

To withdraw money, available methods are: bank transfer, cash, cryptocurrency, e-wallet, gift card and mobile and the procedure is similar to that for adding money.

You select withdrawal method, enter amount, submit request and confirm transfer.

How to send/request money

From your Airtm account, you can also send or request money from other Airtm users. You simply have to input email or Airtm username, enter amount and write a note to recipient so you can proceed and complete transaction.

Account Limits

For unverified Airtm accounts limit is $1,000 equivalent in aggregate send/withdraw volume.

If you verify your account, lifetime inflow will become unlimited and lifetime outflow limit will be $25,000

On the other hand, to have an unlimited Airtm account you will have to carry out enhanced verification.

What is inactivity fee and how is it applied

Finally, I would also like to share important information about inactivity fee that is limited and intended to only impact accounts that haven’t completed a transaction within the past 12 months.

In that case, a monthly inactivity fee of $1 USDC (or the remaining balance on the account if less than $1) will be deducted from the funds in their account each calendar month. Accounts with a balance of $0 USDC will not be impacted.

To avoid this fee, users must complete one of the following transactions within each 12 month period:

Add or withdraw to/from your Airtm account via Airtm’s peer to peer network.
Add or withdraw to/from your Airtm account via a direct connection with a payment provider.
Send, pay, receive or request funds to/from your account.

At Airtm it´s also possible to earn money by inviting friends and you can invite by sharing your link or by entering email addresses of the people you want to invite separated by commas.

You’ll receive $2,00 USDC and your invitee $1,00 USDC directly to your Airtm account (48 hours after invite requirements are achieved).

Also, during your invitee’s first year, you’ll win a percentage of each transaction it makes!
