Why quitting cold turkey might be the best for you.

Oh I’ll do it tomorrow. It’s gonna workout fine tomorrow. Countless times we’ve said that reason. Not knowing when to start, or to possibly end.

My advice, quit cold-turkey!

Yes, this doesn’t apply to most things that need to be done routinely. But for mindless repetitive tasks that drain you of your energy.

You’ll need to quit cold-turkey.

You’ve been wanting to hit the gym but you’re too lazy to get up from the sofa?

Quick cold-turkey!

Or you’ve been working out too much? Causing strain on your body?

Quit cold-turkey!

Or maybe. You’ve been sitting in front of the computer, trying to squeeze out a little bit of creativity just to get that one article up on the web?

Quit cold-turkey!

Because taking a break, even for a moment from what you’ve routinely done will do wonders.

If you’re too lazy to do workouts, quitting cold-turkey from sitting down may fuel you to finally hit the gym, or do some home-workouts.

You’ve been having enough of that workout routine that you keep on doing? Quitting cold-turkey from your routine will allow you to take a step back and reflect on what workouts are working and what aren’t. This might also be a potential time for you to reach out to a person you’ve been wanting to get in contact with to spice up your routines. Sometimes, you wouldn’t even get that idea if you keep on rotating the cog that you’ve been instinctively running on for quite some time.

For writing, you wouldn’t know if you were in a creative rut if you did continually force yourself to write everyday. I am aware that sitting down and just writing has it’s benefits. But for someone who’ve been writing a lot, and probably does it for a living. You’ll need to breathe.

Taking a break may sometimes seem like a luxury. But we are humans, and as humans, we do need the time to take a breather from what it is that we’ve been routinely doing.
