In remembering the millions of others for which the movement still moves on, let’s also remember to make this day of service a day on.. not a day off. The civil rights movement, the march for jobs and freedom, and what would’ve been the poor people’s march were initiatives to bring about equal rights and protection under the law, but Dr. King’s greatest message was one of love and service. Laws alone can’t force you to love and care for your fellow American, so on this day let’s learn something, teach something, give something from the heart, start a conversation, and spread love on this day. And we’ll see a nation with empathy and understanding and a move from racial hatred and racial tolerance — to racial love. Again, thanks for sharing. Peace
