This is a completely fair critique. However, I do have a degree in behavioural neuroscience so I am not completely uninformed.
My argument here is that not all psychiatrists/pscyhologists agree on this topic. In fact, there is quite a lot of disagreement from experts.
The disagreement reigns because there is no conclusive evidence to suggest fictional portrayals of suicidal behaviour on film and television increase its incidence in the population.
