Volunteer Job of the Day: Help Determine Who Gets Warren Buffett’s Money

Doris used to live near the area where my parents settled 20+ years ago. She has her own foundation http://www.sunshinelady.org/.

I spent some time considering joining the board of a charity. A lot of that experience was similar to the things you point out in this article. It seems, at times, that charity work is still the realm of the rich and otherwise unemployed, (usually women). It’s like they expect the cast of Downton Abbey to swan in in petticoats and read letters, instead of the harried young mom juggling the canned food drive at her kid’s pre-school on her lunch break from her office job.

One clap, two clap, three clap, forty?

By clapping more or less, you can signal to us which stories really stand out.
