I vote yes. I would strongly bet that the no votes are more about NIMBYs worries about property values than genuine concern that granny is living in a tool shed. The 6 month limit is absurd. Thanks to modern medicine we are living longer, usually with serious illnesses or impairments along the way. Think about all the advice about how much retirement savings we need, in case we have to spend years in a skilled care facility… and seriously the time to move or renovate homes is not in the midst of a 6 month health crisis with gramps.
