ILU question day!
How do you keep anxiety at bay while paying off large* debt over multiple years?
context: I’m filling out a lot of detailed forms for mortgage lenders and seeing everything on one page is very stressful
*large debt here means anything that’s big enough to cause stress (for me it is less than 50% of my yearly salary.)
Ideally I would track all my debt and my spending and look at the numbers on a very regular basis and always consider buying that extra pair of shoes vs sending that extra $30 to debt… but looking at everything like that is incredibly stressful to me. Short of a money therapist, anyone got hot tips?
