One of my best friends moved to Salt Lake City from DC a year ago. She was working to help feed homeless people in a park near her home. She discovered the mall there bars homeless people from entering, even if they have money and intend to make a purchase. She had to go and buy boots for one of the guys because the cops wouldn’t let him in.

It’s an interesting contrast to their much-lauded programs…
