Hi Scott, thank you so much for sharing your story, you are so spot on when you say life certainly can, and does, literally change overnight. I too was coasting along very nicely last year, working as a full time university lecturer (a fair bit of stress, but I loved it), three gorgeous girls, and my husband’s career going well. We were all in a pretty good place, that is, until I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Have had the surgery, chemo, radio and the rest. I am now trying to decide about risk reducing surgery, and thinking about a new ‘normal’ and whatever that may mean. I have written a post about A cancer diagnosis: a different ‘there’, because even with cancer, we are still going places, it is just a different path and destination. Having cancer does give you a very different perspective, and I now consciously appreciate the blessings of each day! Great to hear about your recent scan!!
