Connect Bitcoin Core with Ledger Live

● Go to Bitcoin.org/en/bitcoin-core/

● Download and install Bitcoin Core according to your device’s operating system.

Keep in mind that this software is presently not available for download in the UK, and download links will not work if you are located within the UK.

Before you install the connect Bitcoin Core app to the Ledger device. Open Ledger Live, navigate to Settings > Experimental features, and activate Developer mode, by clicking on the button to toggle it on.

● Open the Bitcoin Core app you just downloaded and wait for it to be synchronized.

● Navigate to the Connect Bitcoin full node option and click on Connect under the Experimental features tab in the Ledger Live app setting.

● Click on Continue once your full node is set up and fully synchronized.

● Now enter the node parameters (<IP address>:<port>) in the Host field: IN the case that the Bitcoin Core app runs on the same computer as Ledger Live, use the default value 127.0.0.1 : 8333 (otherwise, make use of the static IP address for your node, replace the default IP address 127.0.0.1 with the IP address of your full node.)

● Also, If you’re using a hosted node solution, enter the URL. Enter the RPC credentials for your node, configured in the bitcoin.conf file, which you can find in your node administration panel (e.g. myNode, etc.)

● Enable Transport Layer Security (TS) if needed.

● Click on Continue and wait for the connection to complete.

● Once the connection to your node is successful, then it’s time to configure your accounts.
