I completely agree. The super bowl, while fun to watch since I have pats fans in my house, was so fake. When you watch dispationately, it is really obvious. I felt they were sandbagging right from the start. It just did not make sense given their play during the season. And then -wow- they started actually trying. Sometimes I burst out laughing! I’ve always thought this and the menfolk guffaw at me. One other instance recently when it was Soooooo obvious was when they streamed a bills game that was being played in London. I think it was last season. Anyway — that was the boringest game ever and I think I could see the streaming traffic numbers literally tanking before my eyes and then all of a sudden some “miraculous” plays started happening and what do you know, traffic went up. I went back online to see too! I mean, I believe in miracles but I have a hard time believing whoever orchestrates them gives a fig about football! I think the plan is to stream more games this year so I can only envision this increasing.
Did you hear about this new feature on a gaming system where you can rewind and go back if you died or made a bad move….. very interesting…. :)
It’s fun for us ‘average, non gambling football watchers’— I really enjoy football season — but no one likes thinking about this because it spoils their fun.
