You’re absolutely right of course, Caroline. I think I’m biased by what my living room looked like this weekend: 4 boys (13 to 15-years old) on 4 screens mesmerized and oblivious. ;-) :-(
This is such a powerful idea and one that I think is key as I continue to grow into late adulthood. It’s always good to “envision a better me.” Plus, as you noted, staying curious is also so important. Nice post!
And that’s only the parents! Seriously, if we have trouble managing when to pick up and put down our phones, a developing child is at a significant disadvantage.
As for the Apple stock… just remind yourself that you probably would have sold it when it doubled (wayyyy before in increased x10). That’s what I tell myself about my old Amazon investment.
